Caguas, Puerto Rico
About the program:The Hacienda de Veteranos is a large residential home located in beautiful Caguas. The home provides double rooms and services 12-14 veterans. The important focus of this program is in restoring a sense of self-worth. Therapy sessions will be provided by the Veterans Administration and the in-house case manager will supplement these services with weekly house meeting and one on one counseling.

Our Veteran Homestead programs provide necessary support and services to honorably discharged veterans with disabilities or substance abuse issues. Our residents are encouraged to attend to as many of their own needs as possible and to help each other through the transition from homelessness to independent living. Residents must commit to a drug and alcohol free lifestyle and be willing to contribute toward the support of the program. Weekly house meetings are conducted to address resident, house and community concerns and issues.
